What changes — and what stays
How long does the solar film last?
We are targeting a 20-year warranty for HeliaNova. The film is UV, temperature and weather resistant; binding figures will be published with the final datasheet.
How is the film installed?
Fully self-adhesive: clean the surface, bond the film, connect it electrically. No drilling, no substructure, no crane — trained partners install several hundred square metres per day.
Can my roof carry the installation?
Most likely: the film weighs less than 2 kg/m² — a fraction of classic modules. A structural certificate is usually not required.
What happens to existing HeliaSol installations?
They continue with full warranty. HeliaSol is replaced by HeliaNova for new projects; service and spare parts remain assured.
Are there subsidies?
Building-integrated photovoltaics is eligible in many programs (e.g. KfW, regional programs). We help you assess your project.
Is the film maintenance-intensive?
No. There are no moving parts and no mounting racks that could soil or corrode. A visual check within the building's usual maintenance cycle is enough.
